Tomorrow is the State Half Marathon Championships. Whilst I do not consider this to be an ultra important race it can be considered a good tempo run in preparation for the Marathon next month. It’s an Athletics Victoria race so I will be running for A.P.S. United rather than Old Scotch.
I find that going for a short training run the morning before a race certainly helps me. However the race tomorrow starts at 8 AM so the is not much time. Still I think it is important to have a decent warm up. Not exactly sure what I will do..Play it by ear.
Aim tomorrow is to run reasonably well till 16 Km and then try and push it home. But it’s easy to talk….action is needed. Just don’t want to give up !!
Today only a short jog in light rain. Actually rain was so light those sort of conditions would be good for me tomorrow.Temperature should be around 8 degrees at the start.
Today 200 stomach crunches and 60 push ups.
